Grana Padano PDO

Piece: ~125g Item no: FP1660 Packaging: ~1 kg Country of origin: Italy

The Grana Padano PDO Cheese recipe dates back to the Middle Ages. It's a hard cheese made with milk from Italian cows, it crumbles easily and its ripe flavour melts on the tongue. A minimum of 10 months is required for it to ripen. It is protected by a certificate of origin (DOP).

The name comes from its distinctive granular texture – grana, which means grain in English.
The fragrant and subtley flavour makes it an excellent addition to cream soups. It is a perfect addition to cooked dishes like spaghetti or risotto. Crumbled or thinly sliced, it enhances the flavour of salads. It is also suitable for dips. Best enjoyed with a dry red wine. Thanks to the unique technology, it is wrapped in a sterile film to keep it fresh and highly nutritious for a long time.

Your perfect cheese board

With Q-CONCEPT, consumers have the opportunity to find their favourite flavours from among up to 60 different premium cheese pieces. High-quality cheeses packaged in tasting portions offer the opportunity for easier testing, especially when it comes to composing what is most popular at parties – a cheese board. And this one, too, offers great possibilities. Goat’s, sheep’s or cow’s cheeses, both hard and mouldy, go perfectly with nuts and fruit. Combinations with jam, cold cuts, cranberries or nuts will appeal to those looking for dry and unique flavours and aromas – this is where blue cheeses such as Fourme d’Ambert or Brie and mature cheeses such as Old Amsterdam come in handy.
