Gouda Green Pesto
During the production process, basil and garlic are added to the traditional gouda. After the ingredients are combined, the maturation process begins, which takes about 4 weeks. During this time, the cheese acquires distinctiveness and a slightly spicy flavour. Its aroma invites to try it, and the smooth texture melts nicely on the palate.
The semi-hard consistency makes Gouda with basil and garlic easy to slice and cut into pieces, e.g. into cubes. It can be used for cheese skewers. Combined with cheese of a different colour and contrasting vegetables, such as cherry tomatoes, the starter will look beautiful and appetising. Due to the addition of basil and garlic, it will go very well with Italian dishes. Combined with vegetables and grilled meat, it will create a delicious flavour composition. To experience the full richness of its flavour, pair it with dry red or white wine. Due to its beautiful colour, it will be the jewel in a crown of every cheese board.
